By popular request, I now have rss feeds for both my article and photo blogs. You can find them
here (text blog) and
here (photo blog), as well as in the left sidebar. They will also show up automatically in browsers that support rss feeds in meta tags.
Everyone loves rss nowadays it seems, and I am no exception. It is hard for me to imagine now how I used to juggle reading all the sites I used to visit. I believe rss is just the first of many soon-to-come xml-based data handling formats which will continue to revolutionize the way we use the web. We certainly live in exciting times.
For the curious, I'm using Perl's
XML::RSS module to generate my feeds. I've been moving away from Perl for my more complicated web development tasks, but it is still the ultimate language for quick and easy text wrangling like generating rss feeds.
