Netbeans Javascript and CSS Support

Anyone who uses Netbeans when working with Javascript or CSS would be well advised to try out the Netbeans Javascript Editor. These modules offer both code completion and syntax highlighting for Javascript and CSS. There is one downside, it only works on standalone .js and .css files, not within jsp.

The CSS Cheat Sheet dashboard widget is a useful quick reference when working with CSS. It includes commonly used information on selectors, the box model, units, and inheritance. It is especially useful in conjunction with an editor supporting CSS code

The JavaScript editor is definitely supposed to work within JSP files; if it does not, then that's a bug, and we would appreciate if you could submit a bug report through http://www.netbeans.org/issues/enter_bug.cgi. Also, I recommend using NetBeans 6.1 and downloading all the latest updates from the Update Center - they contain several important bugfixes in the JavaScript/JSP editing areas.
